Trigger Mode

If you have an EV12 imager, Trigger mode allows you to set these parameters:

Continuous
When you pull the trigger or press the
Scan button, the red scanner beam turns and stays on. When you pull the trigger or press the Scan button a second time, the scanner turns off.

Level
Level triggering is available on Intermec computers using either decoded or non-decoded scanners. With level triggering, when you activate the scanner, the laser turns on and stays on until you release the trigger or Scan button on the laser scanner.

If you are using a laser scanner, Level is the only value supported for Trigger Mode command.

Pulse
When you pull the trigger or press the Scan button, the red scanner beam turns on. The scanner remains on until it reaches the Trigger Timeout period.

Flashing
When you pull the trigger or press the Scan button, the red scanner beam turns on and the scanner checks for a bar code to read. When the scanner reaches the Trigger Timeout period, the scanner starts flashing. When the scanner finds and reads a bar code, it resets the Trigger Timeout period. If you pull the trigger or press the Scan button a second tie, the scanner turns off.

Autostand
Autostand mode allows you to switch between level mode and flashing mode. The first time you pull the trigger or press the Scan button, the scanner beam turns on and the scanner is in Flashing mode. You switch to Level mode by pulling the trigger or pressing the Scan button again. If the scanner is idle and it reaches the Trigger Timeout period, the scanner returns to flashing mode.

Toggle
Standard aim triggering allows you to turn on the laser scanner and aim the laser beam without causing a decode. Releasing the trigger enables the decode. Standard Aim Triggering is only supported with scan engines that provide aim beam functions.

Presentation
When you pull the trigger or press the Scan button, the red scanner beam turns on. The scanner remains on until you pull the trigger or press the Scan button again. Pull the trigger or press the Scan button to turn the scanner on and off. The scanner also turns off when it performs a good read.

If you have an EA20x or EX25 imager, Trigger mode allows you to set Level, Pulse, Flashing, Autostand, Toggle, or Presentation triggering.
